Good friends are ones who will see you through the good times and the bad. Apparently, actress Selma Blair has some next-level friends, because she just opened up about some incredibly nice things her famous squad has done to help her during her journey with multiple sclerosis.
In a new interview with People, the Cruel Intentions star raved about how much her friends like Jaime King, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Reese Witherspoon (of which the latter two starred alongside her in the classic film) have supported her as Selma’s dealt with MS. “It’s the strangest thing that the time that could be the most stressful, I am feeling the most joy,” she said. “I think it’s because I’ve learned more than ever that there are people that support me, that love me. I’ve seen people dedicate their time to help me.”
Case in point: Selma said that Jaime sends her “beautiful” flower arrangements each week (something she’s given her a shout-out on Instagram over) and regularly visits her during treatments.

#peonies. When I went to U of M, there was an arboretum that had rows and rows of peonies. I had never seen such a thing. Breathtaking fragrance. @james.kennedy_ at@collectivemetals and I were there one day. Drawing or photographing. Young art students. And I just watched the tiny ants crawling through the flower. Ants irrigating and opening the petals.I wanted to brush them away. But I was mistaken. They were symbiotic and it was meant to be. 💓 As always thank you to #artfleurla @jaimeking for showing me how fresh flowers are so much love. Goodnight. And no ants.

Meanwhile, Sarah even started weekly “food trains” for Selma and her son, Arthur, so that they don’t have to cook dinner. “Sarah started the meal train, which is good because my kid likes to eat dinner, and that wouldn’t happen without it,” she said, joking. “I get weekend meal packs like I’ve never feasted on before from Reese Witherspoon, from Constance Zimmer, and so many people I don’t even know through Sarah.”

Mom! I have arrived! I am on the cover of @people and the Michigan girl in me is smiling way too broadly. This is such an honor to have this magazine and this thoughtful writer @karajwarner , pay a tribute to chronic illness and the people who pave the way to healing and love. This isn’t about how sick I may seem. This is about me as a mom and friend and a person who is growing every day and I hope some of you feel represented. Thank you. #queenforadayor however long this magazine stays on newsstands. 👑. Ps. On newsstands. Go buy so you can read the actual cover cause this country western fan cropped off the other news 🤷♀️

As for her illness itself, Selma said it has “forced” her to “open up and allow people in.” She added, “I’m going to have to remember on days that I feel better to reach out to them. Like ‘Hey, can you still come around? Because you’re my friends and I still need you.'”
With friends like these, it’s clear Selma has everything she needs (and then some).
