Today I am going to share an awesome recipe for people with troubled skin. It features probiotics, fiber, greens, protein and minerals. Enjoy! <3
Skin Healing Tofu Scramble:
~1/3 Block Tofu (or Tempeh if you are sensitive to soy)
~ 4c Spinach
~ 1/4-1/2c Raw Sauerkraut
~ Black Pepper
~ (OPT) Real Salt, Avocado, Cold Pressed Oil
Stir fry in pan with a little bit of water or vegetable broth. Enjoy! It’s SO good!
Tofu/Tempeh: These foods are excellent sources of vegan protein. Not to mention in some studies natural forms of soy have been shown to help prevent certain cancers. Tempeh is also full of probiotics and fiber!
Spinach: Full of skin supporting vitamins and minerals. Including vitamin E, C, B, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and omega 3 fatty acids!
Turmeric: I have talked a lot about spinach but it’s SO amazing for you. Extremely anti-inflammatory. HERE is a link to the PubMed studies on turmeric if that interests you!:)
Black Pepper: Helps with the absorption of turmeric. Also helps improve digestive health.
