I am SO glad to be back and I hope you like my blog and the updates:). It took so much longer than expected but so worth it!
Today I want to talk about….water. I will explain the different types of water, what I think the best is and what is most convenient/cheap. So hopefully this is super informative and helpful post for you:).
Types of Water:
–Tap Water: This is by far the most convenient water source available, and having any source of water is a blessing so drinking tap water is 100x better than no water. However, tap water has all sorts of contaminants in it including fluoride, chlorine and all sorts of other things. Here the Environmental Protection Agency on this issue.
–Water Filters, Distillers and Purified Water: The main differences is here is the method used to filter the water. Over the counter filters, in my opinion, are the best for finances and convenience. This is what I used in college on a budget. These do come at a cost though because not all of the contaminants are removed, however it is a great step up! Purified and distilled water are both great although they go through different methods they get of the bad stuff.
Spring Water: This is my favorite of all the waters, it is so mineral rich and has a clean crisp taste. With spring water you never have to worry about it have typical contaminants that are in the other types of water because it comes straight from the earth. I buy my spring water from Samantha Springs but you can also find springs in your area from FindaSpring.com (make sure you either test the water or check to see if someone else has:). This can be free as well if you have a good spring by you and if so you are lucky it is SO worth the time!
Another note on water is to try to get a faucet filter and a shower filter! I really like the PUR brand for my faucet because it’s cheap and effective (and I’m in college, haha!). I haven’t bought a shower filter yet to be honest but I’m on the hunt!:)
I really hope this helped you on your hunt for water and I’m SO excited to be back to blogging. Let me know:
What kind of water do you use? Do you have a shower filter?
